The
very dated
1970's
kitchen
did not
fit or
function
in this
grand
Van Rensselaer
home from
the early
1900's.
Five doorways,
all necessary,
had to
remain
while
fitting
in a working
kitchen
appropriate
to the
house.
The original
butler's
pantry
cabinet
doors,
windows
and ceiling
were all
restored
to their
original.
New cabinets
and fixtures,
including
a wall
hung sink,
blend
very nicely
with the
old. As
with all
show houses
time and
budget
play a
major
role.
Creative
detailing
when ordering
custom
cabinetry
actually
kept the
project
on time
and under
budget.
