This kitchen had 2 additions in its +100 year history resulting in a very large ill functioning room. As with most Victorians openings were aplenty, 5 doorways, 4 windows, and a full wall of ceiling to floor glass! While keeping the original pantries and stained glass windows the rest of the space was completely gutted. The new space includes a large kitchen, dining area and mudroom. No walls were moved, a partial height wall was added to define the mud room. The kitchen now is an excellent working kitchen with plenty of natural light, ample room for a few cooks and many guests. Although far from the original 1897 kitchen, the present kitchen fits well into this grand old house.
